What you’ll do?

As an Academy Learning Specialist, you will be instrumental in transforming how educators integrate technology into their curriculum. Your mission is to inspire and equip educators to harness technology creatively, fostering engaging and impactful learning environments. We seek individuals who are not just educators but visionaries—those who see possibilities beyond conventional methods and are passionate about reshaping education through innovative solutions.​ 

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge learning programs that seamlessly blend technology with pedagogy, challenging traditional educational models and promoting active learning.​ 
  • Serve as a catalyst for change by mentoring educators, encouraging them to adopt and adapt to technological advancements that enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.​
  • Design bespoke learning materials that cater to diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in technology-enhanced education.​
  • Develop strategies to implement learning solutions that are both consistent and scalable, allowing for widespread adoption and sustained impact across various educational settings.​
  • Collaborate with schools to conduct thorough assessments, identifying unique challenges and opportunities where technology can drive educational excellence.​
  • Engage with key stakeholders to advocate for and implement visionary educational practices, ensuring alignment with broader educational goals and policies.​

What you’ll bring?

  • A degree in education (or a related field) and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a school or education setting.
  • Strong experience using both MacOS and Windows environments, understanding their respective strengths in education and productivity.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, leveraging these tools to streamline collaboration and enhance learning experiences.
  • A willingness to pursue and attain APLS accreditation to deepen expertise in integrating Apple technologies into education.
  • Thrive in dynamic environments, demonstrating flexibility in adopting new tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrate a deep commitment to enhancing educational experiences and outcomes through technological innovation.
  • Work effectively with diverse teams, valuing different perspectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What else do you need to apply?

  • Start within a 4-week time frame, ideally
  • This role is a mixture of on the road, school visits and in the Welshpool office. No week will look the same, so we are looking for candidates that are adaptable, as we do also provide flexible working arrangements. 
  • Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions

Compnow will provide and require all successful applicants to complete a current National Police Check as well as a new or updated state-based Working With Children Check.
