What you’ll do?
As our Systems Engineer you’ll be the first point of contact for internal IT support, keeping systems running smoothly and staff productive. Troubleshooting issues across Microsoft 365, Windows/macOS, laptops, peripherals, and phones, handle onboarding and offboarding, deploy devices, reset passwords and escalate complex problems as needed. Clear communication is key you’ll keep users informed and follow issues through to resolution. With a varied workload, you’ll need to prioritise, stay flexible, and keep our IT environment secure, reliable, and efficient.
- Respond quickly to service desk tickets, phone calls, and walk-ups, helping staff resolve IT issues with minimal disruption.
- Liaising with Compnow internal stakeholders to ensure the IT process runs smoothly, including assisting with the onboarding/offboarding process.
- Reset passwords, configure accounts, and escalate complex issues to senior engineers when needed.
- Manage a varied workload, from steady days to busy waves of onboarding, outages, or business changes, staying organised and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Communicate clearly with our internal staff, keeping them informed, setting expectations, and following issues through to resolution.
What you’ll bring?
- Previous experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 IT service desk or internal IT support role.
- Hands‑on experience with Windows and/or macOS, Microsoft 365, and common end‑user hardware.
- Confidence troubleshooting common issues independently and knowing when to escalate.
- Strong passion for IT and willingness to learn.
- Be extremely organised and have a keen eye for detail.
What else do you need to apply?
- Travel on-site to our office in Notting Hill.
- Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions.
Compnow will provide and require all successful applicants to complete a current National Police Check as well as a new or updated state-based Working With Children Check.
